Shivering Mouse Press is a literary imprint of the Shawna E. Shea Memorial Foundation, created to honor poetry, intimate storytelling, and the quiet courage of creative expression.

The name Shivering Mouse comes from a haiku Shawna Shea wrote shortly before her death—small in form, profound in feeling. Like much of Shawna’s work, the poem reflected tenderness, vulnerability, and an unflinching attentiveness to the emotional world. This imprint carries that spirit forward.

Through Shivering Mouse Press, we publish and present poetry that is honest, emotionally resonant, and rooted in lived experience. Our focus is on voices that speak softly but powerfully—work that explores grief, love, identity, memory, resilience, and the moments that often go unnoticed.
